Hello apple lovers. We're Stephen and Julia Hayes, and we grow apples

We call our "business" Fruitwise, and we're enthusiastic amateur going on professional growers. Before you read any further, we're sorry we can't sell you our lovely apples on line because we're small and local.

However, if you live in or near Hampshire, (old) England, you are more than welcome to visit one of our outlets in or near Botley, Hampshire, and taste some of our apples and apple products in season (July to January).

We fulfilled a long time dream when we bought a neglected pasture near Botley, Hampshire in 1992 and started the first of our orchard plantings that winter. We have now planted 1,000 apple trees and this year produced and sold over 2 tons of fruit, as well as chutneys, cider and some berry fruit.

We grow numerous ancient and modern apple varieties…we have tried not to put too much technical details in this site so as not to put off the ordinary surfer, but if you are interested in growing your own fruit, would like to know more about our apple varieties, or have any other pomological enquires, please email us for free advice. We would especially like to hear from you if you know of any good UK apple, orchard or cider sites so we can add links.
