Blossom Festival

 Blossom Festival
Spring is a busy time in the orchard as fruit growers finish any pruning, fertilize trees, and plant new trees. Farmers depend on bees to pollinate the blossoms - many farmers lease beehives for this purpose.

Spring is also the time for the Annual Blossom Festival sponsored by the Adams County Fruit Growers Association.

Fragrant apple blossoms adorn the mountains surrounding the South Mountain Fairgrounds, the location of the festival, which is always held the first full weekend in May.

Bring the family for a day filled with free activities - orchard bus tours, contests, wagon rides, live entertainment and more... Hundreds of crafters sell hand-made items and wonderful apple foods are available.

Directions: South Mountain Fairgrounds, Route 234 West, west of Arendtsville, Pennsylvania.
