Growing
What does an apple tree need to grow? An
apple tree will produce fruit in three to four
years from a rootstock, but in the
meantime, it needs soil, nutrients, sunlight,
and water.
Apple trees use light energy from sunlight to
convert carbon dioxide, water, and nutrients
from the soil to carbohydrates. This process
is called photosynthesis The carbohydrates
are used for growth, and especially to create
apples.
